Some dental cares should be taken during, before and even after pregnancy which is important for the mother along with baby’s dental health. First, thing to be done during pregnancy for the mother’s is to maintain a proper hygiene of iron and calcium because during pregnancy these two elements is very important for not only your dental hygiene but it is also important for your personal hygiene. • Dental treatments are safe during the 4th till 6th month of pregnancy.
• Avoid eating sugary snacks or foods even if you want to eat sugary food because it will harm your as well as the baby’s dental health.
• Maintain a proper balance diet of Vitamin A, Vitamin B12 and calcium for your dental hygiene during the time of pregnancy.
Dental care to be taken in the 3rd Trimester:-
• Dental treatment is to be again avoided during the last three months of pregnancy.
• Continue good oral health, brush your teeth twice and floss your teeth daily.
Care to be taken for the baby’s teeth:-
• Clean your babies gums with slightly wet cloth after every breast feeding or bottle feeding.
• Never put your baby to sleep with milk and juice.
• Babies are born without germs in their mouth, thus it is important for parents as well as others to maintain a proper oral hygiene to avoid any dental problem with the babies health.
