Teeth helps us chew our food to make the food easier to get digested , moreover, teeth helps you in your speech also. This teeth is further categorized in four types where all have different shapes and functions. These four types of teeth are incisors, canines, premolars and molars.

Incisors are the eight teeth present in the front of your mouth which helps to chew your food properly. Incisors are the first teeth the appears at the age of 6 – 8 months of a baby as the primary incisors which is further followed by the secondary incisors which appears at the age of 6 – 8 years as a adult set.

These incisors are further followed by canines which are the next teeth after the incisors. These canines are the sharpest teeth in your mouth which helps in tearing the food particles. The primary canines usually comes at the age of 16 – 20 months in the childhood which falls off and is further followed by the secondary canines where the lower canines appear at the age of nine which is followed by the upper canine which appears at the age of 11 – 12 years.

These canines are further followed by the  premolars which is present as four premolars at your upper jaw two each side and four on your lower jaw two each side which helps in grinding your food. These  premolars don’t come as in its primary form. It comes at the age of 10 years as the primary molar, which is followed by the second premolar which appears 1 year after the first premolars appears.

These premolars are further followed by the molars which also helps in grinding and chewing the food. The first molars that comes, comes after 12 -28 months after the first and second molars appear which is followed by the second molar which comes at 11 – 13 years of your age and the third and last molars comes at the age of 18 – 20 years. These molars are the last teeth in your mouth.
